For $400, I’d buy this kit. But the notion that e-drums are good for low-volume gigs is false. You hear clicks and all the crummy sounds that comes out of it that aren’t coming out of the module. For practice, they don’t feel like real drums. For live gigs, they are too much trouble and too unreliable. Now that I think about it, I’d rather just spend the $400 on another (real) ride cymbal.

you hit it right on the head...why spend 4k on a kit when you can spend under 1k or less--or even find a great used kit for even lessor, and have a great sounding kit and save tons of money....this is a great video for younger drummers...its not about how much you spend, or always about a name brand.. its more about what you can get ,good--to match your budget and satisfy your sound needs...Your videos are so cool and down to earth-and they put a lot of info and misnomer into a very understandable fraction..PEACE!

Why do you like Evan did not remote because Evan just like way worse because all you can hear when you play Evans is the actual head but when you play Remo, you could hear the drum

I had a Rogers 5-piece kit with Zildjian cymbals back in the '90s that I paid $250.00 for (the young man I bought it from didn't know the first thing about musical instrument pricing). I don't know what year it was from but, what I remember about it was, it had a white wrap and, the inside of the shells had a gray, granite look to them. I unfortunately traded them for a Charvel acoustic/electric guitar and a Crate amp (wish I still had that kit). Can you maybe guess a production year, David?

Soo yeah a bit off topic here, I have a kit I need help identifying...it is a Pearl...the badges are Black over Silver, there are smaller stickers on the toms (16ft 14pwrtom) that say "Made in Japan"...the confusing part is when I look up "Flash Green" (looks like a green candy apple wrap not lacquer) it shows a Fiberglass/ maple hybrid...whats Really strange (to me anyway) is its 10lug (that is split lug not single style) Export (according to the Non Serial Numbered badges) but again it's a 10lug kick. The Only 10lug Export I have ever head of is the Black kit Steven Adler (Somewhere I heard was a DX Pearl "Export"?) Featured in the 1988 Ritz video...(Clearly a Pearl. Clearly a 10lug kick. Any info from Anyone is Great Appreciate! Cheers!!

Great video, what built-in kit is good for heavy metal, like metallica, megadeth etc? Or you have to use some software to expend to get acceptable sound for that?

Sorry, DWe Collector's is way better, and all wireless w/ an actual, useable, top of the line acoustic kit, too (and easy enough to just pull the electronics out to put into cheap shells if you want for electric, and then juse use the Collector's series for acoustic only, if you want/ Depends how often you'd be changing. I'm always in electric now because the feel and sound is that good on the DWe, though. First time I could ever feel comfortable enough to just go all electric)

I had those Z Cymbals on my E-Kit. They bent easy, and broke. I hated them.

Just wondering, will this produce metal shavings and dust that could be harmful to your lungs? Should I wear a mask if I’m going to be in a smaller enclosed space for a prolonged period?
